The documents that have to be submitted when applying for a Dutch passport or identity card depend a.o. on the age of the applicant. If the applicant is a minor, various documents have to be submitted to enable the passport section to establish who has/have parental responsibility for the child. Under Dutch law, all people with parental responsibility have to give consent for the issuance of a Dutch passport.
