Princess Máxima speaks at global conference on microfinance
On monday 6 september, Her Royal Highness Princess Máxima of the Netherlands attended the international conference 'Global Partnerships in Microfinance', held on 6 and 7 september at the University of Greenwich in London. Princess Máxima gave the keynote speech in her capacity of the UN Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development'.

On 13 July last, the Netherlands based architect Fernando Donis, DONIS, was named winner of an impressive shortlist, with his design 'London Gate'. The white, simple design refers to the historic Aldgate, only now symbolising a modern access of the City as an open gateway to the world. The monument will be put up in 2012 to celebrate the Olympic Games that London will host in that year.
