No significant hiccups have been reported on the first day of use of biometrics (the integration of fingerprints into the passport and visa application process). All consulates and the embassy had a relatively quiet day without any signicficant problems. This mirrored the situation around the world as all Dutch embassies made the change to fingerprints simultaneously.
